Beyond the Wardrobe 2025

 I Love to Read Month 2025 at SCRL

I Love To Read Month was themed "Chronicles of Narnia", and what a great time we all had. We had "Chronicles of Narnia" themed workshops all month hosted by all 5 of our branches. A couple of our branches had "English Tea Parties", while some created Aslan inspired bookmarks and colouring pages. There was also a cardboard shield making workshop, a paper crown making workshop and a sensory bottle making workshop, inspired by Lucy's Cordial. There was a mini bow and arrow making workshop, that went absolutely fantastic.. we had a full sign up! There were a few workshops marketed for the young adults/adults of our library as well, such as chainmaille, fantasy map making, and huck weaving! 

As a part of our program, we have prizes you had the chance to win located at all 5 of our branches. You could do multiple things all month to earn tickets, like finishing a "Aslan scavenger hunt", signing up for one of the workshops in February, completing a book review, and so many more ways. Our prize packs included the entire "Chronicles of Narnia" series, and the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on DVD and BluRay and a map of Narnia for your display needs! There was also a different prize pack with a book journal, a bookmark, a "library" themed pin, a blanket and a reusable bag.
