The Sneetches: and Other Stories includes 4 different Seuss stories: The Sneetches, The Zax, Too Many Daves and What Was I Scared Of?  Each of these stories has a different theme.  The Sneetches tells the story of two types of Sneetches that live on the beach.  This story teaches you that it is okay to be different and not to judge other who are.  The Zax is a story about compromise.  While the Zax's refuse to compromise, they stand still and let the world pass them by.  Too Many Daves is a story about a mom who named all of her kids Dave. SInce they all have the same name, they all come running when she calls one.  It's about being unique and not like everyone around you.  The last story, What Was I Scared Of? focuses on fear.  The character is afraid of the pants with nobody inside them.  Later, the character learns that the pants were just as scared, and it teaches the character not to be afraid of everything.

I really enjoyed all the stories in the collection.  Each story teaches the reader or listener something important.  They were some of my favourites growing up and I enjoy reading them to kids now.
