The Apothecary's Garden

By Jeanette Lynes

Set in the 1860's this beautiful story enchanted me from the very first pages.  Back in a time when flowers had special meanings, a bouquet could carry a message aside from it's beauty and fragrance.   Lynes writes with an open heart and it was such a joy to read.  I found myself thinking numerous times "What a WONDERFUL sentence!", reading it over a second time to soak it in.  If you are looking for a old fashioned romance, this charming story, peppered with magic, will not disappoint.  I highly recommend!
